Dock Workers Protest Wars

On May 1, west coast longshore workers stopped all work to call for an end to the U.S. wars on Iraq and Afghanistan.

The work stoppages involved thousands of members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) at 29 west coast ports. The dock workers led pickets and protests in Seattle and San Franciso.
